Information for Prospective Students

Miyagi University of Education offers the following systems depending on the purpose of study to individuals attending courses in the Faculty of Education, Graduate School Research Division of Education and Postgraduate Study Course in Special Needs Education, research students from the Faculty of Education, Graduate School: Research Division of Education (Masters Program)
Individuals may be admitted to Miyagi University of Education as a research student for example in the case where they wish to pursue study in specific areas as long as it does not interfere with the education and research of our university. Qualifications are as follows:

Faculty of Education individuals who have graduated from university or junior college or are recognized as having the equivalent academic standards.
Research Division of Education individuals who possess a master's degree or have graduated from university and have had at least three years of experience in research or scholastic profession.

Non-degree Students (Faculty of Education, Graduate School: Research Division of Education (Master's program)
Individuals may be admitted to Miyagi University of Education as a non-degree student in the case where they wish to take one or more number of courses as long as it does not interfere with the education of our university. Qualifications are as follows:

Faculty of Education individuals who have graduated from high school or junior high school or are recognized as having equivalent academic standards.
Special Audit Students (Faculty of Education, Graduate School: Research Division of Education (Master's Program)

Individuals attending another university (graduate school) in Japan or overseas or junior college in Japan may be admitted to Miyagi University of Education as a special audit student in the case where they wish to take courses at Miyagi University of Education through a mutual consultation and agreement with the institution the individuals are currently attending.
