On Study
1) Academic Consultation

i) Undergraduate students:
As for the academic concern, such as questions on classes, it is recommended to consult the lecturers of the classes. Students can consult teachers who belong to their courses and Ryugakusei-Kakari.

ii) Graduate students and research students:
Graduate students and research students have their academic advisors. Please consult them in case of trouble first.

2) Tutorial System
This is a system designed to help international students to accustom themselves to new surroundings as soon as possible and to improve effectiveness of their study by appointing Japanese students as their tutors who give them various advice.

i) International Students Eligible for This system
1.Undergraduate students within one year of their admission.
2.Graduate students and research students within one year of their admission except those who graduated from a university in Japan
3.Others who are considered to be in urgent need of assistance in their study.

ii) Duration of Tutorship
One year starting from the time of admission.

3) Japanese Classes for International Students
Undergraduate students are required to earn some credits in foreign language classes.  International students may, if they wish, substitute foreign language classes with Japanese classes.  At those classes, students can study how to write essays in Japanese and how to make their presentations in Japanese as well as Japanese expression and knowledge needed for daily lives.
Supplementary Japanese classes are open to any international students.  If they wish to attend these classes, please ask instructors of Japanese language.
